About me
I’m a qualified psychotherapist and have been holding sessions for people for 9 years. My approach is warm, thoughtful and grounded. Therapy for me, is not about fixing or rushing change, it’s about creating the conditions where something deeper can begin to unfold.
I bring both professional training and lived experience to my work. Like many people who come to therapy, I have spent years exploring my own inner world, making sense of patterns, navigating difficult emotions and learning what it means to relate with myself with more honesty and care and although challenging at times, it has enriched my life.
I wont be distant or purely clinical but I also wont overwhelm the space with my own experience either. My aim is to meet you as another human being, while holding a clear and steady therapeutic frame.
Alongside this I have maintained a meditation and mindfulness practice for many years which continues to inform how I understand presence, attention and the nervous system.
I love long walks in nature, connecting with other humans and animals, yoga, cycling, cooking, music, dance and a good book. Not all at once!
This personal journey shapes how I sit with clients - with patience and respect for the pace genuine change requires.
How I work
We begin where you are and go from there.
People often come to therapy feeling:
stuck in patterns they don’t fully understand
overwhelmed or emotionally exhausted
disconnected from themselves and/or others
caught between wanting change and not knowing how
Over time therapy can help you:
make sense of your inner world
feel less overwhelmed by your thoughts and emotions
develop a more compassionate relationship with yourself
find a steadier sense of self within your own body
Together we come to see that nothing is random and you can make sense of things that feel confusing.
I have a strong capacity to attune to others, to notice the subtle shifts in tone and feeling that can sometimes be difficult to put into words. I bring an understanding that the qualities we develop in response to life’s challenges can also become our strengths.
